Naomi Rhae (Utterback) Gaver

Obituary Condolences

Naomi Rhae Utterback Gaver, 89, recently of San Antonio, Texas, but having spent most of her life in Frederick County, died in her sleep on May 7, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Utterback and the late Grace Fogle Utterback.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty nine years, Willard Johnson Gaver, also of San Antonio. She also is survived by her three daughters, Janice G. St. Peter and her husband, Gary, Donna G. Stoner and her husband, Donald and Joan G. Jimenez and her husband, Jose. Naomi also is survived by her six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother, Donald Utterback, sisters, Lillie O'Haro, Lillian Arnold and Bernice Trout Compher.

She was a prize winning gardener and loved playing cards and traveling to see her children.

Naomi worked part-time at the Walkersville High School library in the 1960's and later was employed by the State of Maryland Employment Office in Frederick. After retiring, she spent many wonderful years with her Willard in Colonial Beach, Virginia before moving to be near her daughter, Donna, in Texas.

There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Naomi's deceased granddaughter, Katie Stoner, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Sudden Infant Death Institute, 528 Raven Way, Naples, Florida 34110.
