Dr.  Charles Douglas Bowie IV Obituary
Dr. Charles Douglas Bowie, IV, 73, of Frederick, MD, passed away on June 26, 2013. Born to the late Charles Bowie, III, and Mary Bowie, Dr. Bowie practiced dentistry in Baltimore for more than forty years.


A graduate of Lincoln High School, Morgan State University, and Howard University College of Dentistry, Dr. Bowie served in the Army for two years. He was a life-long member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.


Dr. Bowie is survived by: three children, Kevin Naylor, Kelly Bey and Kevin Bowie; Brittany Glover and Stevie Glover (legal guardianship); wife Brenda McNeil-Bowie; mother Dorothy Bowie; siblings, Donald, Ruth, Alfreda, Beverly, and Rod; grandchildren Sharonda, Destini, Douglas, Taylar and Kayden; special friend, Margaret Jenkins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Brenda Singleton- Bowie; brother, David; and sister, June.


Public viewing is on Sat., July 6, 2013, at the Jackson Chapel UMC, 5609 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD, at 10 a.m. with the family receiving friends at 11 a.m. and the funeral at noon. Donations can be made on Dr. Bowie's behalf to the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Metropolitan Baltimore, Inc., 4903 Liberty Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD, 21207.
