Mr. Henry L. Burall, 88, of Yellow Springs, passed away at home Thursday, July 11, 2013.|
He was born Sept. 1, 1924, to Grace Irene Burall and Samuel Burall.
He was a WWII veteran. He enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with anything mechanical. He worked as security at Fort Detrick, Frederick, and later at the Department of Energy in Gaithersburg, Md. He was a member of AMVETS Post 2, Frederick, Md., and the American Legion, Thurmont.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Burall; and daughter and caregiver, Susan Flynt, and partner, Bruce Baer, all of Yellow Springs. He is also survived by a brother, Ralph Burall, of Clover Hill, and sons Ralph T. Burall and wife Susan, and their children, Jacob, Meredith, and Martin Burall and wife Terry, and Jeff Burall and wife Kathy. He is also survived by a grandaughter, Stephanie Nestor and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, CJ and Alexia; grandson, Jason Flynt; and granddaughter, Tammy Price and husband, Kevin. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Burall.
According to his wishes, his body was donated to science.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
