Mr. James Frederick Titus, 74, of Frederick, passed away on February 27, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Doris Titus, his wife of 46 years.|
Born March 27, 1939 in Michigan, he was the son of the late Frank and Joyce Titus. He graduated from Muskegon High School in Muskegon, MI and worked as a radio announcer for over 30 years at WFRE and WFMD in Frederick and WJEJ and WWMD in Hagerstown before retiring in the fall of 2013. The only thing he enjoyed more than his work was his grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Titus is survived by four children, Mrs. Robin Carafelle & husband David of Michigan, Mr. Jeff Titus of Oklahoma, Mr. David Titus & wife Angela of West Virginia, and Mr. G. Sean Titus & wife Lish of Frederick; grandchildren, Melissa, Steven, Holly, Michael, Ryan, Dylan, Lexi, and Becca; a sister, Sandra Galyan & husband Virgil; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
