Mrs. Beall shared her love for music and fudge. Both were great to enjoy in her class. A very dear teacher to us at the Methodist High School in Costa Rica.

Miss Ruth Beall was my fourth and sixth grade teacher at Methodist School in San Jose, C.R. She was a wonderful Christian lady, that taught me about the Lord Jesus Christ. I always enjoyed being in her classes and she was an excellent English teacher. She always exemplified what a true Christian person's life should be.
Because of her Christian character and love to Jesus I came to know Christ as my personal Savior, and continue serving Him until this day. I became a missionary myself and served 16 years as a missionary together with my husband, a missionary, preacher and Bible Institute teacher in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Miss Beall was always an inspiration to us about her true Christian testimony. On our furloughs, we use to visit her in Wilmore, Ky. and always were blessed by her life! We shall never forget her.She is now forever with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

She was my teacher while she taught in Costa Rica. I owe her my love for English, and have dear memories of chorus class. Her love for The Lord, and how she praised Him, was an example to follow. May she rest in peace.

She was my sixth grade english teacher, in Costa Rica, the year was 1974. A gentle person, always with a smile, loved to sing. A strict with very sweet teacher. Just a few weeks back I was recalling such times. I can still see her in my memories. We, her Methodist school students, are all so sorry here in Costa Rica. Peace to her soul.

I AM LIL MONTURIOL SCHWENN, BORN IN COSTA RICA. I ATTENDED THE METHODIST SCHOOL WHERE MISS BEALL TAUGHT. SHE WAS MY 4TH, AND 6TH GRADE TEACHER, AND I BECAME A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN BECAUSE OF HER, LEADING ME TO THE LORD. A WONDERFUL CHRISTIAN LADY!! I WILL FOREVER REMEMBER HER WITH MUCH LOVE !!! BUT MOST OF ALL BECAUSE OF HER LOVE TO THE LORD, AND CHRISTIAN CHARACTER AND LIVED TRULY THE HOLINESS LIFE THE LORD CALLED HER TO SERVE IN MY COUNTRY. I ADMIRED HER AND SHE HELPED ME A LOT IN MY SPIRITUAL LIFE. AFTER I MARRIED, MY HUSBAND IVAN SCHWENN, WHO GRADUATED BOTH FROM ASBURY COLLEGE, AND ASBURY THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY, AND OUR 2 CHILDREN, WE VISITED HER IN WILMORE, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND SHARED MANY PRECIOUS TIMES TOGETHER, ALWAYS SPEAKING OF GOD'S BLESSINGS, AND OUR LIVES OF BEING MISSIONARIES OURSELVES TO HONDURAS, FOR 16 YEARS. LITTLE DID I KNOW I WOULD SOME DAY BECOME A MISSIONARY MYSELF. BUT I NEVER FORGOT MISS BEALL AND HER LOVE FOR THE LORD, OF COMPLETE SERVICE TO GOD IN WHATEVER CAPACITY THE LORD CALLED HER. SHE EXEMPLIFIED WHAT A TRUE BORN AGAIN, SANCTIFIED PERSON IS AND SHE LIVED THE HOLY LIFE GOD HAD CALLED HER, AS SHE SERVED HIM! MY HEART REJOICES BOTH HER MOTHER AND MISS BEALL WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD ON "GOOD" FRIDAY DAYS. I KNOW SHE IS IN GOD'S PRESENCE WITH MANY OTHER PRECIOUS SOULS WHOM SOME DAY WE ALL WILL JOIN THEM, SINGING PRAISES UNTO GOD OUR FATHER, FOREVER.!!!! GOD TRULY BLESSED, MISS BEALL, WITH MANY PRECIOUS YEARS!!!
SHE WILL BE MISSED VERY MUCH, ESPECIALLY ALL OF US STUDENTS, WHOM SHE TAUGHT AT MHS, (METHODIST HIGH SCHOOL), IN SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA!!!SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!!!

So sorry to hear about Ruth. What a good long life she enjoyed. So many cannot say the same. She was one of those the Bible call especially strong. Ps. 90:10

Growing up, we always called her Costa Rica Aunt Ruth (since we had 2 other Aunt Ruths!!) She was a special and favorite aunt and a dear sister to my mom, Catherine! We always looked forward to the Christmases when she came home for her school's "summer vacation". A few times she stayed at our house! But if not, we saw her a lot anyway, cause she and Aunt Esther came over to visit or eat with us often! And she and mom would always give each other permanents. Aunt Ruth was a special aunt to me and I appreciated and loved her so much! After Aunt Esther moved to Wilmore, KY Aunt Ruth would go there for her school breaks and I was attending Asbury at the time. Fun times were had at their home and often we would drive "home to Maryland" for Christmas. After college I spent 3 months in Costa Rica at Language School and it was SO good to have Aunt Ruth there! She was like a mom to me! She helped me through so many hurdles and just having family nearby was comforting since I was in a foreign country! She helped me find a Costa Rican lady to live with during my stay, and when I was preparing to leave for Colombia and had visa problems I stayed at her apt and she helped me navigate all the government offices and paperwork! Aunt Ruth had a gentle, humble spirit and radiated Christ's love to everyone! She was always so cheerful and welcoming to everyone, whether family, friends, or strangers! She will be greatly missed!

I will always remember, growing up, including Aunt Ruth in my bedtime prayers while she was in Costa Rica. I loved whenever she was home, she would come see us...and try to teach me spanish. Later, as I got older, I'd always look forward to her visits so we could enjoy putting puzzles together and playing the many table games she liked to play. One memorable Scrabble game to me was when she won on her last play in the game. She won, coming from way behind, with the word ZAP on a "triple word score". Wonderful woman who I will always cherish.
