Bradford Frost Obituary

FROST

BRADFORD JONES On January 22, 2017, Bradford Jones Frost left this world and "moved forward" to start again. In death, as in life, Brad surrounded himself with his family and closest friends. Brad lived courageously every day of his 35 years. A proud husband, devoted son, wombmate, loving uncle, and supportive friend, he fiercely advocated for his people as strongly as the community and social justice issues he loved so much. Brad and his wife, Dana Miles Frost, made their home in Detroit - a city to which they committed their lives. Brad's love for Dana was evident to everyone who met him. Seeing Detroit through his eyes made those who visited fall in love with the city. He and Dana showed their families the important values of inclusion and created "Camp Detroit" for his nieces and nephews to experience it firsthand. For Brad, the term family reaches well beyond his and Dana's immediate network - including extended family, friends, and their kids. Brad constantly encouraged those around him to be the best version of themselves. Please continue to live out your commitments every day, and if so moved, write about it. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Declare Detroit or Detroit Riverfront.

Sounds like quite the guy-family,friends, and community oriented. Good for him. Wish I had the chance to meet him. Brad is my sons' (John and James Jenner) 3rd cousin. His grandmother, Libby" was my dad's (Gardiner H. Hall) 1st cousin which makes her my 1st cousin 1x. Her mom, Ida and dad;s dad, William H. were brother and sister I'm so sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age. Apparently, he and Dana are doing good things and I'm sure she'll keep things going not only for her but for his legacy. Rest in peace, Brad. And may God be with you, guide you and support you, Dana, during this time. Fran (Hall) Jenner

I was blessed to have worked with Brad for just a few short years. His commitment, his passion and his devotion to causes that were important to him and the people he loved was contagious. I will miss him and his amazing smile. I will find myself asking "what would Brad do" many times I am sure.

What a legacy to leave behind. So sorry to hear about his death. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. We look forward to the time when death will no longer claim the lives of our loved ones.
