Howard N. Hinkley, age 74, of Florence Oregon passed away on September 12, 2013, in Florence. Howard was born February 7, 1939, in Endicott, New York and had lived in the Florence area since 2002. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and Army Reserves 828th Hospital Sation in Fresno. For over 30 years he worked primarily with the VA Medical Center in Fresno, Ca. Survivors include his wife, Linda of Florence; his two daughters; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters. At his request private cremational rites were held through Burns's Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Community Living Center at the VA Medical Center at 2615 E. Clinton Ave. Fresno, Ca. 93703.
