BAKER, LUANA MARY  
Luana Mary Baker, age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. A Graveside Service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, in Los Angeles, CA, on Friday, January 30, 2015, at 3:30 p.m.

BAXTER, DOROTHY JACKSON WRIGHT  
Dorothy was born on April 26, 1916, in Fresno, CA to Inez and Lloyd Jackson, and passed away peacefully on December 22, 2014, at the age of 98. While growing up in Fresno, CA, she attended Lowell Elementary School and graduated from Fresno High School in 1933. She attended Fresno State and later transferred and graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 1937. She was a member of a local sorority Omega XI Omicron at FSC, and Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, at Berkeley. Dorothy married Wheeler Wright and they lived in Texas while Wheeler finished his service in the United States Army. After returning to Fresno, they began a family. Dorothy worked in her family's businesses, Crown Printing, Fresno Rubber Stamp Co, and the Rainbow Ballroom. Wheeler passed suddenly in 1952. In 1955, Dorothy married William Baxter. Bill adopted all three of Dorothy's children. She was very active with her children's activities and spent many hours volunteering at schools and swim meets. Also during these years, Dorothy played golf at Sunnyside Country Club. She was also an avid bridge player and belonged to many bridge groups. Dorothy was also active and President in the Los Niño's Guild of Valley Children's Hospital, and past president of Fresno Panhellenic Board. She was also a member of Fig Garden Women's Club, and Friday Club. She and Bill were also able to travel a great deal. Bill passed away in 2002. Dorothy is survived by her children, Greg Baxter and his wife Penny, Keith Baxter and his wife Melinda; and daughter, Teresa Sholars. She has six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the wonderful care providers at Sunrise Retirement Home; and Hinds Hospice. There will be a private family internment. The family requests any remembrances be made to Hinds Hospice, 2940 W. Shaw, Ste. 101, Fresno 93711.

BEACOM, BEVERLY LINK - Fresno  
Beverly Link Beacom was born on December 6,1941, in Dyersville, Iowa, to Walter D. and Virginia Link. After graduation from high school, she attended Mount Mercy Nursing School in Cedar Rapids, IA and graduated in 1962. In 1963, while working at Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, she met and married John M. "Jack" Beacom. During their eight year stay in Minneapolis, their two children, Kellanne and Dan were born. The family moved to Fresno, CA in 1972, when Jack's employment began at The Fresno Bee. Beverly worked as a registered nurse in the labor and delivery departments for both Fresno Community Hospital and then Saint Agnes Medical Center. Beverly received her Nurse Practitioner degree while being employed at Doctors. William Duprey and Mort Rosenstein's office. She later worked as an RN/NP for Drs. M. Warren; the Linder Quan Medical Group; Dr. Mason; and Dr. Gary Matson. Beverly loved to travel and she and Jack visited China, Thailand, and most of Europe. She was athletic and enjoyed snow skiing, playing tennis, and roller blade skating. Having been raised in a Catholic family, her Christian faith has always been a source of strength for her, especially during her lengthy illness. She and Jack are one of the founding members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fresno. Beverly is survived by Jack, her husband of 51 years; her daughter, Kellanne Kopp and husband Mike; her son, Dan Beacom and wife Michele; her three grandchildren, Cameron and Mackenzie Kopp, and Jacob Beacom; sisters, Jenne Naderman, and Sheila Murphy and her husband Tim; and brother, Walter Link and wife Kathy. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to Catholic Charities; or Hinds Hospice. BERRY, MARION - Kerman  
Darlene was peacefully welcomed into Eternal Life with Christ on Monday, January 19, 2015 and at the age of 74. Darlene worked for Kerman Unified School for 30 years. She is survived by John, her loving husband of 55 years; daughters, Debbie Cerkueira and her husband Gary, Donna Sweany and her husband Randy; grandchildren, Cydney, Nathan and Anna, "the joys of her life"; her sister, Karen Kleinhample and her husband Rob; nieces, nephews and a multitude of wonderful friends. A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens, on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
