David passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013. He was born the seventh out of 13 brothers and sisters, to his parents Pete and Eloisa Hernandez, from Pomona, Ca. David lived in Reedley, Ca. most of his life when his family moved there in 1955. He attended Reedley schools and graduated from Reedley College. David was a very brave, strong and decorated soldier in the United States Army. He served in the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1966 with the First Calvary Infantry Division Airborne. He was later assigned to the 101st Airborne Division and the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a true warrior. He will be greatly missed as a loving caring person to all. David is survived by his wife Christina; and his two daughters, Mildred and Lucy. He also had 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. David was a devoted father. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. A Holy Rosary will be held at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Reedley, on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
