Daniel also known as "Don Daniel" was born one of ten children to proud parents of the late Mr. Juan Rojas and Emelia Briseño on July 22, 1936, in Earlimart, CA. Daniel was the oldest of nine brothers and sisters, Jesus Briseño, Roberto Briseño, Andres Briseño, Helena Briseño, Jose Luis Briseño, Maria Briseño, Juan Manuel Briseño, Antonio Briseño, and Esperanza Briseño. At the age of 18, Daniel Rojas Briseño, Sr. enlisted in the U.S. Army
for two years and had married his first wife, Nellie Martinez. During the course of their marriage, they raised two wonderful children, Corina and Joseph Briseño. In 1980, Daniel Rojas Briseño, Sr. persude a career in business ownership and found his niche in the doughnut industry. During this time, he had remarried to the late Teresa Hernandez and raised two wonderful boys, Daniel Jr. and Luis Briseño. Through hard work and determination in 1989, Daniel Rojas Briseño, Sr. had successfully established Danny's Donuts and Mexican Restaurant in Caruthers, CA. At the age of 77, Daniel Rojas Briseño, Sr. had left his legacy in the community and has touched the hearts of many through his years of service. We will miss his warm embrace, remember his words of encouragement and his drive for hard work. Daniel Rojas Briseño, Sr. is survived by his children, Corina Briseño, Joseph Briseño. Daniel Briseño, Jr. and Luis Briseño; grandchildren, Albert Daniel Corchado, Rebecca Nicole Corchado, Vanessa Daniel Corchado, Jonathan Bairos, Jordan Bairos, and Johnny Briseño; great-grandchild, Marrisah Nicole Estrada; and his loving pet, Bella. "He taught me how to be strong, how to work hard, and how to depend on myself." His daughter, Corina Briseño Viewing and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Caruthers, CA on Monday, April 21, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at the church on Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Laton, CA. There will be a Celebration of Life following burial at the Caruthers Fair Grounds at 2:00 p.m.
