Evelyn Alcorn was born to Tom and Zelda Locke, and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 1, 2010. Evelyn grew up on her family's ranch near Firebaugh, surrounded by many siblings, cousins, and friends. These were memories and relationships she cherished. Evelyn and Lloyd Alcorn were married for 41 years, and together raised four children. The first seven spent in Kings River, Nevada, were among their happiest. They moved back to Dos Palos and then eventually settled in Kerman. Evelyn loved reading and keeping up with current events and politics. She enjoyed doing kind gestures for family and friends, such as making costumes for her children and grandchildren and bringing a book and a homemade meal to a sick friend. A special thank you to Dr. Gasman and the kind and caring staff at Kaiser Permanente. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Zelda Locke and her husband, Loyd Alcorn. She is survived by her children, John and his wife Maria, Sam and his wife Carrie, Jullee "Susie" Camenson and her husband Dave, and Brett Alcorn and his wife Candace; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; her siblings, Bernice Morris, Tom Locke, Annette Maiorino, Ted Locke and Paula Salas; and many cousins and close friends. Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Thursday, March 4, 2010, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, March 5, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. STEPHENS & BEAN CHAPEL 202 N.
