"He had a passion and understanding for anything with an engine, and a superb ability to operate anything with a motor, wheels or tracks." Eddie began his military service at the age of nineteen after testing out in the top 4% of the nation on the ASVAB. He served on the USS Cowpens, an Aegis class guided missile class cruiser for two tours of the Persian Gulf War. During his service for his country he earned many medals; Meritorious Unit Commendation, Armed Forces Expeditionary medal, National Defense Service medal, and the "Good Conduct" Naval medal. A short time after Eddie finished his tour with the U.S. Navy
he moved to North Carolina where he developed a love for building and remodeling houses, and designing custom furniture. One of the things he loved best was working with wood; the more complicated the build, the more angles it entailed, the more he enjoyed the build. He was a great craftsman who made beautiful furniture that will continue to bring joy to his friends and family, especially his mother Debra. Eddie was a sweet, fun loving, charismatic person with a wonderful sense of humor. "All of his friends and anyone that he came in contact with knew Eddie had a big heart and would help anyone in need." We love him and we miss him!
