QUIN C. APREGAN

Quin Apregan peacefully entered into eternity on July 4, 2014. She was 91 years old. Quin was born on July 1, 1923, and grew up in Parlier, CA. She was the daughter of Enoch Kashishian, an immigrant from Armenia, and his Boston-raised wife, Mary (Sadoyan). Quin was raised on their small farm with her younger brother, Arden, and worked picking peaches, oranges, and grapes. She attended Fresno State College where she studied to be an elementary school teacher. Her favorite pastime at school was performing in plays and included several leading roles. While attending college, she met her lifelong friend, Marilyn Hodge. They both earned their teaching credentials and began teaching at Riverdale Elementary School. Alice Peters was an acquaintance of Quin and introduced her to her eligible brother, George. It wasn't long before they were married and began a loving relationship that lasted over 50 years. Quin soon left her teaching job to help George and his brother Aram, start a new pharmacy... Cedar Drugs. Quin's life changed again with the arrival of their two sons, Craig and Jeff. She reveled in her role as supporting mom. Together with George, they provided their children with a loving and nurturing family environment that will never be forgotten. Quin was also active in the PTA, Pharmacy and Rotary Auxiliary groups. Her true passion was being with friends whom she cherished, as well as playing golf and bridge. She became a consummate caregiver later in life, providing tireless support for her brother, father, mother, and husband, as they aged. Quin is survived by her son, Craig and his wife Pattie of Bend, OR and their children,Cameron and Casey; her son,Jeff and his wife Nancy of Westlake Village, CA and their children,Jeffrey and Erin. A more recent joy was the arrival of her only great-grandchild, Rocco. Her family will miss her, but are comforted to know that she is with her husband, mother, father, brother, friends, and family members that have led the way for her into eternal peace. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at San Joaquin Country Club on July 10, 2014, at 2 :00 p.m. The family requests that remembrances in the form of donations may be made to Community Medical Foundation, 126 N.
