KIM GIFFORD Obituary

Gifford Kim of Reedley passed away December 28, 2012. He was born in Bothwell, Utah on January 27, 1924 to Korean immigrants Eung Gue (Edwin) and Hari Hayun (Helen) Kim. After moving to California with his parents in 1937, Gifford completed his education and served in the United States Air Force. He married Mari Lee and they settled in Reedley. He worked at Lee's Service as an auto mechanic, then as a salesman and fleet manager for the Ford Motor Corporation dealerships from 1962 until retiring in October, 2006 at the age of 82. Gifford is preceded in death by his wife, Mari Lee Kim; sisters, Eva Kim, Jessie Shin and Ruby Montgomery; and brother John Kim. He is survived by daughter, Debra Cook and her husband John of Exeter, daughter, Valeri Keogh of Fresno; grandchildren, Sarah Worthen and Niall Keogh, and several nieces and nephews. According to his wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Bryson Cancer Care and Transitional Care Services of Visalia for their care and kindness.
