Louise Vincent, age 89, of Fresno passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, the first child of Armenian immigrants, David and Helen Kachigian. She was an accomplished musician, playing both violin and French horn. She was offered a college scholarship, but family finances precluded her from attending. In 1945 she married Donald Vincent of Fairmont, West Virginia. She worked in the grocery business for many years before retiring. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Don, of 52 years; and her two brothers, Larry and Richard. She is survived by her three children, Lois Reed, David Vincent, and Sandy Rodriguez and her husband Dan; and five grandchildren, Stacey Dieling and her husband Dennis, Chris McCraw, Nicole Ice and her husband Graham, Kyle Vincent and his wife Nicole, and Murphy Rodriguez. She was "GG" to eight great-grandchildren. She enjoyed attending great-grandson, Devon Dieling's baseball games and spending time with great-grandson, Aidan McCraw, who delighted in calling her 'Shorty.' She remained close to her family back east, spending hours talking to her niece, Vivian Hulderman and nephew Calvin Kachigian and chatting in Armenian to her great-niece Kailey. Louise will be remembered as a kind person and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and 'GG.' Visitation will be at Yost and Webb Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Yost and Webb, followed by interment at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
