Oscar was born on November 30, 1921, in Selma, Ca. and passed away at his home on Saturday, October 5, 2013. He was self-employed as a barber for many years. Oscar enjoyed his profession and made many lifelong friends at his Hazelwood Barber Shop. He later worked for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1982. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avedis and Siranoosh; his sister, Zora Kachadoorian and husband Harry; brother, Soren Hamparzoomian and his wife Marian; and son-in-law, Gary Agbashian. Oscar is survived by Ruby, his wife of 69 years; his son, Dana Hamparzoomian and his wife Monica; daughter, Linda Agbashian; and son Alan Hamparzoomian and his wife Mary. Oscar was blessed with seven grandchildren, Jordan, Lacey, Derek, Amber, Dalan, Brandon, and Brent. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who will always remember their first haircut by "uncle Oscar". Visitation will be held at Yost and Webb Funeral Home, 1002 T Street on Thursday, October 10, 2013 for 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Masis Ararat Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 2226 Ventura, Fresno Ca. 93721.
