Richard was born in Susanville, CA on July 25, 1923, and passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the age of 91. Richard was an art teacher and yearbook advisor at Roosevelt and Fresno High Schools. He was a graduate of San Jose University with a B.A. in Art and Journalism. Richard is the grandson of Viola M. Roseberry, well known American woman artist (1860-1936) who encouraged his artistic talent. A veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Force in China, Burma, India (CBI) and was a charter member of Sons in Retirement (SIRS). The family would like to thank Stephanie Costa, Leticia Rodriguez and staff at Copper River Retirement, Dr. Dickran Gulesserian and Optimal Hospice. Richard is survived by his wife Frances; his daughters, Lesli Adducci and her husband Joseph, Diane J. Smith and her husband Ken; sons, Mark Knipper and Robert Keefe and his wife Janet; he also leaves his three grandchildren, Braylon Heffington, Martin and Allison Keefe. A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 364 E. Barstow, Fresno, CA 93710
