Norma Louise Rinetti was born in Sacramento, CA on April 11, 1929. She passed away on August 21, 2014 surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer. She married Vinto Scarabello on November 18, 1950 and moved to Fresno. She had a daughter, Denise and a son, David. Norma was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation Branch #32 and the Italo American Club. She took great delight in attending all of her granddaughter Michelle's school and athletic activities. Norma enjoyed the monthly Saturday dances with Vinto. In later years Norma had the pleasure of going to Italy and three cruises with her immediate family. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Caring Heart and especially Gloria, Kaylee and Cleo for the great care given Norma during the past two years. Thank you to Hinds Hospice for providing pain free comfort to Norma in her final days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlo and Louise Rinetti; and brother-in-law, Victor Caprioglio. Norma is survived by Vinto, her loving husband of 63 years; her daughter, Denise Hurst and her husband Michael; her son David Scarabello and his wife Teri; granddaughter Michelle, who was the apple of her eye; sister, Edna Frugoli and her husband Pete; sister-in-law, Annie Caprioglio; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, August 25, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Queen of the Apostle Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Norma's honor to Hinds Hospice or the donor's favorite charity.
