Wayne Lowery

Wayne Edmonds Lowery, 52, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012. He was born August 26, 1960, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to the late Marie Eileen Edmonds and James Anthony Lowery.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Gayle Scherlen Lowery; son, Raymond James "R.J." Lowery; daughter, Lacy Marie Lowery, all of Friendswood, Texas. Also, surviving him are 3 brothers; Dr. William Armiger of Annapolis, Maryland, Craig Lowery and wife, Gay of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Guy Lowery and wife Mayde of Fayetteville, North Carolina; 2 sisters, Dr. Jo Ann Edwards of Washington, D.C. and Debbie Turner of Ransom Canyon, Texas. Also, his father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Ann Scherlen of Victoria, Texas and his sister-in-law, Dawn Cummings and husband Greg.

Wayne graduated from Stroman High School in Victoria, Texas in 1978. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1982 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked at Formosa Plastics in Point Comfort, Texas, before moving to Friendswood. He was presently employed by Ineos in Chocolate Bayou as a Chemical Engineer.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Father Benny Thadathilkunnel, M.S. officiating.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Dr. Friendswood, Texas 77546 on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Benny Thadathilkunnel, M.S. officiating. Graveside Services and Burial will be held in Victoria, Texas at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 300 West Red River St., Victoria, Texas 77904 following the Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 P.M.

Pall bearers will be Don Adams, Greg Cummings, George Eynon, Tim Parker, Matteo Pasquali, Bill Peters, Jim Olson and Gregg Riley.

The family requests that memorials be made to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Ocular Melanoma Department, c/o Dr. Sapna Patel, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210-4486.
