James Steven Brachtenbach (1933 - 2013)

Obituary

James Steven Brachtenbach, 79, died July 10, 2013, at home. He was born Sept. 14, 1933, in Stratton, to Steven and Ruth Brachtenbach.
James attended school in Stratton and later worked as a welder and was self-employed. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his children, Kenneth Brachtenbach, of Fort Lupton, Keith Brachtenbach, Tonya Pitcher, of Keenesburg, and Yvette Karantownis, of Denver; siblings, Jack Brachtenbach, of Oklahoma, Myrna Carlson, of Nebraska, Larry Brachtenbach, of Stratton, Denny Brachtenbach, of Stratton, and Carol Farrell, of Nebraska; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Delbert Brachtenbach; a sister, Betty Brachtenbach; and a son, Jamie Brachtenbach.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at St. Williams Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton with military honors.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Williams Church of Fort Lupton.
