Nellie M. Trujillo, age 89, of Brighton, passed away Feb. 27. Nellie was born in Delta Sept. 14, 1928, to Jose Trujillo.
Nellie was a Brighton resident since she married her husband, Tony Trujillo in 1945. Nellie was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Nellie worked at Samsonite Luggage in Denver for 11 years and various other places in Brighton. Nellie loved being closer to home, where she truly enjoyed being a mom. Nellie loved making her six children's fashionable attire, as well as camping, fishing and working in her garden. She was mostly devoted to prayer.
Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Teri Sanchez, of Thornton, Anthony Trujillo Jr., of Thornton, Julie Trujillo, of Auburn, Washington, Christopher (Ilene) Trujillo, of Curlew, Washington, and Carol (Michael) Garcia, of Kent, Washington; a son-in-law, Jim DeBello of Westminster; 15 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia (Jim) Morales of Ontario, California; and two brothers, Joseph Trujillo, of Thornton, and Jake (Patty) Trujillo, of Tucson, Arizona.
The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 9, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 178 S. Sixth Ave., Brighton. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton handled the arrangements.

Aunt Nellie, you will be missed though we didn't get to see much of each other,we sure have our memories when you and Uncle & Anthony would come to Delta.You may be gone but you will never be forgotten . condolences to the family, your mom was one of a kind Love Your Cousins Rupert, Carol & Kids Shawn,.
