Mr. Charlie Pendleton, 97, of Quincy, Florida, died on August 23, 2013, in his residence. Services are Saturday, August 31, 2013, at St. John A.M.E. Church, Quincy, and Elder Matthew Bryant officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday August 30, 2013 at Betsey Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am at the church until service time. Betsey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Pendleton was born July 8, 1916 in Attapulgus, Georgia to the late Mr. Emmitt Fluitt and the late Mrs. Judy Milton. Mr. Pendleton married Mrs. Ruther Bryant and was worked as a front-end loader with BASF.
Survivors include his spouse of many years, Mrs. Ruther Pendleton, of Quincy, Florida. Daughters; Mary Bryant (Larry Theodore) and Orbadella Marie Thomas, both of Tallahassee, Florida. His caregivers; Timothy Brown of Quincy, Florida and Shaniqua Baker of Tallahassee, Florida.
