Christine McMann Pope, 52, of Chattahoochee, FL, passed away Fri., July 13, 2018. Services were Sat., July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at United New Jerusalem Church in Mt. Pleasant, FL. Crawford & Moultry Funeral Home of Chattahoochee were in charge of arrangements.

Christine "Chris" McMann Pope was born on March 4, 1966 to Major and Evelene Pittman McMann in Quincy, Florida. Her parents, two brothers, Gregory McMann and Larry McMann, and three sisters, Katie Mae Ross, Maxine Newton and Delores Smith, all preceded her in death.

Chris attended the public schools of Gadsden County. For many years, she worked in the food service industry until she became disabled.

Chris became a member of the New Jerusalem Church of God in Chattahoochee, Florida under the leadership of the now – late Bishop Willie L. Raines, Sr., where she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in her younger years. She later moved her membership to Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Wells.

Chris was a loving person and she never met a stranger. She was a mother figure to many children and kept everybody laughing. On Friday, July 13, 2018, God called our beloved Christine "Chris" McMann Pope home to rest in His loving arms.

Cherishing her love and memories in their hearts are her daughters: Shanika Young and Delacia White, both of Tallahassee, Florida; three brothers: The Reverend Major Highman (Sarah) of St. Augustine, Florida, Samuel McMann of Gainesville, Florida and Stanley Nealy of Tallahassee, Florida; four sisters: Evangelist Sharon McMillon (Roderick) and Michelle McCollough (Lewis), both of Chattahoochee, Florida, Gendell Holden of Tallahassee, Florida and Sherrina McMann of New Orleans, Louisiana; one aunt: Elouise Lewis of Tallahassee, Florida; one uncle: Willie Fred Hatten of Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren: Christopher Copeland, De'Ja Copeland, Nykerria Kerr, Davian Sims, Nicholas Kerr, Jr., Dariel Godfrey and Trophy Baldwin, Jr., all of Tallahassee, Florida; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, several godchildren and loving friends.
