Elease Stevens Carpenter, 80, of Quincy, died on November 14, 2012. She was a member of the St. Hebron AME Church where her service will be held 1 PM, Saturday November 24, 2012. She will be interred in the St. Hebron Cemetery. Viewing will be from 3 PM to 8 PM on Friday November 23, 2012 at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy.

She is survived by her children, Mary L. (Freddie) Harvey, Alice C. (Glenn) Young, and Leonard (Shirley) Carpenter, all of Tallahassee; Elizabeth (Lucien) Knight of Havana, Geraldine (Lucious) Thompson of Jacksonville, Mildred Moore of Quincy, Daisy C. (Bobby) Bush of Quincy, Cecil (Jacqueline) Carpenter of Monticello, Roger M. (Faythia) Carpenter of Oviedo and a special granddaughter she raised as a daughter, Shateesha C. Walker; her brothers, John Turner of Quincy and Monroe Stevens (Olivia) of Waterloo, Iowa; her sisters, Eula Walker of Quincy, Bessie M. Thomas of Quincy and Mary Lee Kendrick of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Carpenter, Sr.
and a special grandson, Lamonta On'Shay Powell.
