Lester Alvin Black, 84 of Quincy, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Tallahassee. He was a member of Old Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Service will be 11 AM, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church in Quincy, with burial in the Memory Gardens in Tallahassee. Viewing will be from 2 PM to 7 PM on Friday June 29, 2018 at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy (850-627-3700).

He is survived by his wife, Barbara King Black; daughter, Jeanita Black Johnson; brother, Edwin Black (Bernice), grandchildren, Barbara Arielle McFarland and Hunter McFarland; mother-in-law, Maggie S. King; sister-in-law, Nettie T. Black; special daughters, Sherrie Sanders (O'Leary), Gwendolyn T. Harris (Freddie), Cynthia Henry and Dinah Reed (David). He is also survived by three godchildren, Stanley Johnson, Carine and Camille Reed.
