Judson H. Phillips, October 20, 1932 - November 17, 2012

Judson H. Phillips, 80, of Quincy, FL, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Gadsden Memorial Hospital in Quincy, FL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Kennedy and Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery with Craig Phillips, Tony Durham, Tim Phillips, Denny Powell, Mark Harrison, and Daniel Fewell serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Phillips was born October 20, 1932 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Hyman Phillips and Anna Powell Phillips. He was veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War and a retired welder. He was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and a member of the Santa Clara Baptist Church in Quincy, FL.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lou Durham Phillips of Quincy, FL; his sons, Terry W. Phillips and his wife, Theresa, of Quincy, FL and Graham Phillips of Quincy, FL; his daughters, Kaye Phillips Cook and her husband, Ronnie, of Bainbridge, GA and Sherrie Phillips Baily and her husband, Doug, of Bainbridge, GA; his brother, Billy Phillips and his wife, Mary, of Climax, GA; his grandchildren, Leon Barwick, Heath Barwick, Amanda Murkerson, Steven Phillips, Meighan Phillips, Matthew Cook, and Jennifer Cook; and his great-grandchildren, Gracie Barwick and Maddox Murkerson. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Phillips.
