Annie Ruth Sanders

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church for Mrs. Annie Ruth Sanders, 80, Springville, Ala.,who died Nov. 12, 2012. The Rev. Larry Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Watson & Sons Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Sanders was born March 9, 1932, to the union of Gilbert Williams and Berthula Woody. She confessed in Christ at an early age and united with Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Reuben Vancy High School and later attended the Nursing School of Rome, Ga. She was married to Willie Claude Sanders Sr. She was preceded in death by Willie Sanders; two daughters, Sherry Lee Pulliam and Martha Sanders; and two sisters, Leola Herring and Ethel Lee Pulliam. She was employed by Amerev for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her sons, Willie (Celia) Sanders Jr., Kenny Sanders, Norman Sanders, James (Gwen) Sanders; daughter, Rebecca Sanders, all of Springville, Ala.; five grandchildren, Talya Moss, Xavie Hardwick, Jasmine Hardwick, Monique Pulliam, all of Springville, Ala., Miles Smith, Pittsburg, Pa.; great-grandchild, Kamii Kelly; sister, Josephine Herring, Springville, Ala.; brother, Gilbert Pulliam; sisters-in-law, Thelma Coleman, Hamilton, Ohio, Vurida Meamon and Minnie Miller, Springville, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, James Sanders, Springville, Ala., Richard Lee Sanders, Gadsden; special friends of the family, Sandy Richardson and Phyliss Payne, Paula Woods, Debbie Sturdivant; a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation will be this afternoon.
