A celebration of life service for Curtis H. Rogers, 55, will be held at Chandler Mountain Baptist Church at 2 p.m. today. Mr. Rogers passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Olympia, WA. Dr. Ronald Rogers will be conducting the service. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Tina McClendon Rogers of Olympia, WA; sons, Sean Rogers, Seattle, WA, and Chaz Rogers, Olympia, WA; parents, Hoover C. and Laura Lynell Rogers, Steele, AL; sister, Brenda Rogers, Steele; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Byron and Jean McClendon, Huntsville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dean and Theresa McClendon, Huntsville; nieces, Lane and Kate McClendon, Huntsville; special uncle and aunt, Lee and Mary Gilliland; and many other relatives.
Curtis was employed by the Washington Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee. He served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force. Curtis earned degrees from St. Martin's College in Lacey, WA, and City University of Seattle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Chandler Mountain Baptist Church cemetery fund.
