Mr. Hubbard loved the Lord, his family, fishing and bluegrass music. He played both the banjo and guitar and loved to pick with his buddies or on the porch for anyone who would listen. He was a man of many talents. He would walk the woods with his faithful companion, Rusty, a Dachshund Retriever. They would gather enough sticks to make walking sticks. He sold these to stores in the Smoky Mountains and used the proceeds to pay for vacations.
