Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1037 Tuscaloosa Ave., for Norman Joe "Joey" Harkness II, 30, Gadsden, who died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012. The Rev. Elijah Fowler will officiate. Burial in Lincoln Hill Cemetery. Adams-Buggs Funeral Service is in charge.
Cherishing his loving memories are his parents who loved him very much, Norman Joe and Janetta (Pooney) or "Pruella" as Joey called her; brother, Jeffrey E. Corbin; sister, "the boss," Kayla M. Coleman; sister-like best friend since first grade, Celeste Graham Dunigan; eating and running buddies, LaNehque "feety" Scott, Jocelyn Nelson and Dominique Ray; his "wife," Brittany Ware; classmate and roommate, Rodney Parker; three children, Kiana A. Corbin, Kamron M. Coleman, and Kambria M. King; his baby boy, Langston Dunigan (Blue Ivy); aunts, Barbara (Jamie) Jamison, Sandra (Thomas Lee) Graham; Sherra K. Wright, Hazel Washington and Rosie Lee Smith; many other special friends and cousins, classmates of 2000, family members across the states of Mississippi, Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina and Virginia; and Shiloh Baptist Church family.
The remains may be viewed at the funeral home today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the church from 5 to 7 tonight.
