Prentice "Bill" Hayes

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rainbow Memorial Park for Mr. Prentice "Bill" Hayes, 87, Gadsden, who passed away Jan. 30, 2013.
Mr. Hayes was a resident of Gadsden for the past 62 years, a graduate of the University of Alabama and a World War II veteran. He was a member of the VFW Post 2760 Whorton-Dykes Post. Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie M. and Flora Hayes; wife, Joy Hayes; daughter, Jan Hayes Moore; and son-in-law, C. Frank Moore.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Howard Trotter, Lexington, S.C.; sister, Mary Burns of Montgomery, brother, Ben Hayes of Ann Marie, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jeremy Moore (Ardis) of Destrehan, La., Leigh Trotter of Charleston, S.C., Mitchell Trotter, of Clemson, S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Conner Boudreaux, Brock Moore of Destrehan, La.; and a caring cousin, Kenneth Nunn, Gadsden.
Pallbearers will be members of VFW Post 2760.
