Ronan Lynn "Jeff" Marbut

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Ronan Lynn "Jeff" Marbut, 53, of Piedmont, who died on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012. The Rev. Anthony Copeland, Daryl Marbut and Benny West will officiate. Burial will follow in Young's Chapel Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery will direct.
Mr. Marbut was a 1977 graduate of Hokes Bluff High School. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He loved NASCAR racing and riding four wheelers. Most of his life he worked construction doing dry wall work. He worked for Hokes Bluff Auto parts for many years early in his life. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. He never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronan Mack.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Marbut; two sisters, Pam (Kenny) Deru and Patti (Kevin) Limbaugh; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Lindsey and Stefanie Deru, and Dylan Henderson; and very loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Dawson, Lane Stiefel, Kenny Deru, Kevin Limbaugh, Wayburn Burttram, Marty Owen and George Mordecai.
Honorary pallbearers will be Merl Meeks and Steve Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Center.

The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
