John Robert Price Jr., 82, of Attalla, went to be with his Lord on May 11, 2013. Graveside service with military rites will be today at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jimmy Bailey will officiate the service. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.

Mr. Price was a former member of Siberton Methodist Church and graduated from Alabama School of Trades - Class of 1962. He retired from Anniston Army Depot, where he worked as a welder for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Basson Price; parents, Myrtle Lee and John Robert Price; brother, Jimmy London Price; and son, James Christopher "Chris" Price, who died tragically in the 1983 Beirut Bombing while serving in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Price leaves behind sons, Timothy "Tim" (Carolyn) Wayne Price, Converse, Texas, Joseph "Joey" (Judith) Samuel Price, Attalla; grandchildren, Marisa Price, John Christopher Price, Joel Robert Price, Lauren Kia Price; great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Noah and Ryland.

Pallbearers will be Chris Blackburn, Phil Meyers, Tim Price, John Price and Joseph Price.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially nurses, Joy Flemons and Teia Horton. Thanks also to the nurses, techs and staff at Healthsouth, Gadsden Rehab and Gadsden Regional Medical Center, seventh and eighth floors.
The family will accept friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
