I was a little boy and Mr. Billingsley lived across the street from my school, when I found out he played for the Chargers I went up and knocked on his door, I was about 8 years old then. When the door opened I remember this HUGE man opened the door, I timidly spoke and asked him for an autograph of which I no longer have! I held out a paper and pencil and he knelt down and fulfilled my request and thanked me for stopping by, he then asked my name and we chatted a few minutes before he sent me on my way. I have never forgotten his gracious manner. Rest In Peace!

I played side by side with Pedro on defense at U Wyo.He was a great football player and even greater person. I'll never forget how exited and grateful he was when being chosen in the first round by the San Diego Chargers--he was intent on getting his Mom and Dad a brand new Bonneville convertible. His heart was as big as his body.Til we meet again my friend.

"Pedro" gave me swimming lessons when him and my brother were lifeguards at the Gadsden pool back in the 1960's. He was a great guy. I remember we thought he was the bibbest person we had ever seen!!!! Rest in Peace, Pedro!

Ron was a wonderful friend of whom I have many great memories. My parents, Mary and Jay Johnson, loved him and enjoyed seeing him after he moved back to Gadsden. My thoughts and prayers are with Paula, Mrs. Billingsley and all the family. Love, Donna Johnson Bryan.

I played with Pedro at Wyoming. He was one of the toughest people I ever met. I was 2 years younger and scared to even talk to him when we'd pass in the dorm, but after getting to know Ron I found him to be funny, caring and a great friend and team mate. I will always remember this "gentle" giant.
