Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church for Mr. Bill Bristol, 53, McClendon Road, Attalla, with burial in the Unity Cemetery. The Rev. David Dunn and the Rev. Cobb Hallmark will be officiating the ceremony.

Bill was a resident of Etowah County most of his life. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, where he loved serving the Lord as song chairman and youth leader until his health would not allow him to do so. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rock and Barbara Carnes; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs J.G. Carnes and Mr. and Mrs. William Ferber.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 8 at Morgan Funeral Chapel, and he will lie in state at Unity Church Friday from noon to 1 p.m. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing.
