Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crestwood Funeral Home for Cleo Woodrow Adams, 94, Gadsden, who died Tuesday, July 1, 2008. The Revs. Cecil O. Brown and Darrell Brown will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Adams was born in Cleburne County. He was a Christian for 80 years and a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 52 years. He worked for Goodyear for 32 years. He was active in his church, was a scoutmaster and did other community projects, such as meals on wheels. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Vonnie Dell Adams.
He is survived by a daughter, Jeanette Babb, Richmond, Va.; son, Randy Adams, Birmingham; granddaughters, Stephanie Marinelli, Baltimore, Md., Laura Lemonds, Greensboro, N.C., and Heather Bock, Birmingham; grandsons, Chris Adams, Birmingham, and Brandon Adams, Birmingham; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jack Phillips, Larry Pierce, John Wheeler, Chris Adams, Brandon Adams and Alan Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2036, Gadsden, 35903.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Crestwood Funeral Home.
