Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Collinsville Funeral Home-Sharpe Chapel for Lena Lurlene Taylor, 79, Black Creek community, who died at her residence on Friday, May 4, 2012. The Rev. Jay Adams will officiate. Burial in Black Creek Cemetery. Collinsville Funeral Home is in charge.
She was a member of the Tabor Baptist Church, where she played the piano. She loved the Lord and loved giving to Christian charities, including Feed the Children. Ms. Taylor enjoyed life, spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Arizona England Taylor; daughter, Wanda Darlene; sister, Geraldine Hawkins.
She is survived by her special cousins and caregivers, Donna and Tim Smith; and a host of relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jake Kelton, Jason Nelson, Glenn Alverson, Franklin Brewer, Gerald Foster, Robert Samples, Nick Smith, Josh Smith.
