Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, for Lewis "Bubba" Keener Fowler at Morgan Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Lew went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2013, after a brief illness. The Rev. Albert Morgan and Dewayne Boyd will officiate. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.

Lew was born in Gadsden on Dec. 29, 1960. He graduated from Etowah High School in 1978. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Naval Service and served until his medical discharge in 1994. He served on the U.S. Theodore Roosevelt and in the Persian Gulf War. Lew loved his family more than life and was always a blessing to anyone he was around. He was always ready and willing to help anyone in need and will be missed tremendously. Lew was preceded in death by his mother, Lona Mae Atkins; grandparents, Dewey and Minnie Taylor and Lewis and Annie Fowler.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 31 years, Lampang Fowler; son, Chris Fowler; daughter, Vangee Diasparra (Will Barrus); grandchildren, Angelina, Luigi and Joseph Diasparra; father, Dan K. (Norma) Fowler; brothers, Doug (Tanya) Fowler and Danny Atkins; sisters, Sheila Graves, Susan (Hoyt) Ramsey, Sharon (Mitch) Duncan and Renee (Mike) Gunter. Also, a host of nieces and nephews and special uncle and aunt, Randy and Jan Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Hoyt Ramsey, Mitch Duncan, Mike Gunter, William Barrus, Luke Fowler, Wes Ramsey, Trevor Fowler and Clay Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be C.J. Smith, Taylor Graves, Steve Graves, Justin Self and Derek Broadhead.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. up until the hour of service.
