Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mr. Owen Riley Alexander "Big O," 59, of Gadsden, who passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2008. The Rev. David Denson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.

Mr. Alexander was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. He was a graduate of Glencoe High School and was employed at the St. Clair County Correctional Facility for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Alexander; daughter, Paige Pope (Ken); sons, James Alexander, Jeff Massaro (Shelia), Greg Massaro (Vicki) and Tommy Massaro (Traci); 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild; brother, Donald Holland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robert Gibson, Danny Cumming, Danny Estes, Phillip Guthrey, J.T. Griffith and Jerome Gray.
Special thanks to Dr. Sandra Carpenter and her staff and all the staff at St. Clair County Correctional Facility.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
