Sandy worked in many departments, from ER to teaching and training of many nurses. She also served as liaison for the Nurses Union for several years. On Oct. 15, 2011, the "Sandy Amos R.N. Infusion Center" was dedicated in her honor and was attended by many dignitaries and her peers. Today, many cancer patients are able to receive treatments in a more relaxed atmosphere. Sandy loved her career, traveling and her beloved pets.
She is survived by a brother, John Hank Amos and wife, Gloria, of Brandon, MS. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Still Amos, and her father, Slay Jack Amos. Also surviving is a niece, Kelly; and nephew, Kevin; and many cousins.
