Celebration of Life for the Rev. Thomas C. Croft Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Friendship Baptist Church, Rev. Earl Dudley, officiating, burial in Lincoln Hill Memorial Park with military honors. Rev. Croft will lie in state one hour prior to the celebration. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.

Croft leaves to celebrate his life, his wife of 61 years, Margaret Croft; seven children, Jacqueline Croft (Herman) Woods, Glencoe, Ala., Theresa Croft (Billy) Johnson, Jerome and Nikki Croft, all of Gadsden, Ala., Walisha, Vanessa and Yteria Croft, all of Nashville, Tenn; seven grandchildren, Diandra Woods, Glencoe, Ala., Hannah Woods, Birmingham, Ala., Demetricus Johnson, Atlanta, Ga., Brooklin Johnson (Jeremy) Graves, Gadsden, Ala., DeJuan Johnson, Oakland, Calif., Julian Croft, Ft. Hood, Texas, Nicholus (Misty) Johnson, Tulsa, Okla.; three great-granddaughters, Saniya and Jayla Johnson, Gadsden, Ala., and Jade Croft, New Orleans, La.; one sister, Emma Lee Croft (Horace) Buford, Nashville, Tenn.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special neighbors, Lena Pointer, the Moore family, Willie Coleman.
