Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Thomas Gerald "Tommy" Richardson, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. The Revs. Sherri Reynolds and Jim Beck will officiate. Burial will be at Old Harmony Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service directing.

Mr. Richardson was a native of Etowah County, born on Sept. 26, 1938. He was the owner of Richardson Accounting and retired Commander of the Gadsden Fire Department. Mr. Richardson was an active member of Christ Central Church and a member of Cedar Bend Masonic Lodge 583. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a loved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Daisye Richardson; infant daughter, Kathy Carolyn Richardson; and brother-in-law, Robert Oldham Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Richardson; children, Tammy Mercier, Danny Richardson, Phillip (Tammy) Richardson and Denise Willis; sister, Nelda Jo Lee; brother, Johnny Richardson; grandchildren, Andrew Richardson, Matthew Mercier, Lauren and Hannah Richardson.
Pallbearers with be grandson, Andrew Richardson; nephews, Mark, Steve and Ken Lee; brothers-in-law, Frank and Ken Hester.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Monday Morning Men's Bible Study of Christ Central Methodist Church, as well as retired and present Gadsden firefighters.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Christ Central Methodist Church.
Mr. Richardson's family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
