Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Mrs. Tommie E. Richardson, 86, Gadsden, who died Saturday, April 7, 2012. Burial will be in Williams-Southside Memorial Park. The Rev. Lauil Thompson will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Richardson was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County and a member of Paden Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Thomas and Dolly Wagnon; and brother, Bobby Wagnon.
She is survived by her husband, James Richardson; sons, Jim (Ginger) Richardson and Johnny (Heather) Richardson; grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Mason, Robin (John) Derrick and Brian Richardson; great-grandchildren, Lily Derrick, Sterling Derrick and Wells Mason; sisters, Edwadean "Dinky" Gibbs and Inez Sapp.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Gibbs, Thomas Gibbs, Charles Sapp, John Derrick, Chris Mason and Dewayne Holmes. Honorary pallbearer will be grandson, Brian Richardson.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
