Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012, at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Luke Lee Jr., 83, Attalla, who died April 24, 2012. The Revs. Harry Whitt, Chris Stephens, Ricky Allred and Kerry Bryant will officiate. Burial will be in Noble Hill Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.

Mr. Lee was a longtime member and deacon at Brans Chapel Methodist Church. He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lee was retired from LTV Steel, coached Little League for several years and was a foster parent to numerous foster children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke Sr. and Miranda Lee; siblings, Jack, Jesse, Charlie, R.L. and Norman Lee, Verna Harris, Frances Whitt and Mildred Pruitt; special nephew, Rev. Woody Lee.
Survivors: loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy Sue Lee; daughter, Regina (Jackie) Murray; son, Gary (Vickie) Lee; grandson, Brandon Luke Lee (Katie Keeler); sister-in-law, Shelva Lee; chosen sister-in-law, Faye Sewell.
Pallbearers: Dustin Harris, Alton Galimore, Randy Whitt, Scott Whitt, Jon Works, Oscar Whitt, Jackie Kell and Edgar Works.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jackie Murray, Jim Works, Mike Works, Steve Whitt, Jerry Sewell and Robert Hubbard.
Special thanks to Dr. Ralph Wesley and staff of Amedisys Hospice; ninth-floor south at Gadsden Regional Medical Center; and Shelia Harris, Patty Jones, Renee Works and Angie Baker for their loving support during this time.
