Memorial services will be Friday, May 4, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Ten Island Baptist Church, 9150 Alabama Highway 77, Ohatchee, for Thomas Mitchell Coley, 62, Rainbow City, who passed away April 30, 2012. Rev. Jeff Richey will officiate. Friends and family dinner at Ten Island Baptist Church will be directed.
Mr. Coley never met a stranger and loved everyone he met and never turned down a stranger who needed help. He was a loving husband and father and the most animated man who could always bring a smile to your face. He was loved by everyone he met because of his enthusiasm for life.
Thomas never turned down an opportunity to have a family dinner with his wife, kids and daughter-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline Coley; brother and his wife, Jerome and Karen Coley; and brother, Alvis Coley.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Marie Coley, son; Michael S. (Kristen) Coley; daughter, Carla Marie Coley; and one future granddaughter; brothers, Eugene (Theresa) Coley, Billy (Shirley) Coley, Donald (Donna) Coley, Robert (Brenda) Coley, Terry (Lawanda) Coley; sisters, Pauline (Dean) Strange, Sue (Glenn) Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Covered dishes and plants will be accepted, and/or donations may be made to the immediate family and/or Ten Island Baptist Church for general use of the church facilities.
