Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Crestwood Chapel for Raymond E. Booth, 83, Cedar Bluff, who died May 7, 2012. Johnny Fry will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct the service.

Raymond Booth was an Army Sergeant in the Korean War and stationed in Alaska. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, spending time with his grandchildren and had a special place in his heart for animals. He and his wife, Leona, had been married 59 years. He was best known for his jokes, great stories and his sense of humor. Raymond will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Leona Booth; children, Carl (Sally) Booth, Patricia Neal (Rickey Steele) and Jerry (Betty) Booth; grandchildren, Jake Booth, Shannon Booth, Haley Booth, Angie Neal, Rachael Neal McCrary, Robbie Booth and Laura Booth; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Jackie Booth and Donnie Booth; sisters, Stella Green and Catherine O'Neal; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
Special thanks to Dr. Steve Sanders, Alacare Hospice for their special care, Chris Naylor, granddaughter Shannon Booth, and daughter Patricia Neal.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
