Mr. Dwight Allen Cole, 58, of Scenic Highway, Gadsden, formerly of Boaz, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Hammonds and Bro. Billy Boatwright officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Gadsden. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Cole was born in Alabama on Oct. 15, 1953, to John Narlan and Imogene Watkins Cole. He was a retired drywall contractor.
Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Carol Lanette Stewart Cole of Gadsden; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Catina Stewart, Jon and Leann Cole, all of Boaz, and Jeff and Traci Stewart of Auburn; daughters and son-in-law, Lori Dixon, Gadsden, and Ashley and Nathan Teal, Sardis; nine grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dawlon and Leanitta Cole and Gary and Nancy Cole, all of Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Jerry Ward, Boaz, Norma and Johnny Elliott, Gadsden, Genice and Rickey King, Tennessee, Janice and Gary White, Sardis, Sandra and Jerry Howell and Lynn and John Washburn, all of Hokes Bluff; stepmother, Carol Ann Cole, Boaz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Narlan Cole and Imogene Watkins Cole; and brother, Jerry Cole.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Keith McCormick, Chris Roden, Adam Washburn, Jeremy Howell, Josh Howell, Gary Cole Jr., Edward Cole and Bryan Cole.
