Ms. Tincy went to take her place in Heaven in the early morning hours of June 3, 2012. Born on July 13, 1933, Tincy was one of 12 children, had three children of her own and has acquired many more "children" over the years.
Tincy was a very special person with a heart of gold. She always went out of her way to take care of others and could not stand the thought of someone going without. She was deeply loved by many, and will be missed by many broken hearts.
Tincy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie Ashley; three sisters and five brothers; husband, Claude Downs; and first husband, Ben Mashburn Sr.
Tincy is survived by her loving children, Darlene (Jimmy) Brown, Patti (Johnny) Page, Benji (Linda) Mashburn II; grandchildren, (oldest grandchild) Leslie Brown, Ted (Andrea) Page, Jeremy (Misty) Page, Kaci Page, Keri (Dustin) Largin, Ben Mashburn III, Kristin Mashburn, Emily Mashburn, and chosen grandson, JD Page; great-grandchildren, Max Cooper Largin, Brittany (Russell) Conrad, Jordan Page and Ashlyn Page, and chosen great-grandson, Corey Clayborn; brother, Raymond Ashley; and sisters, Dot Scott (AR) and Roetta Given (TN); as well as a host of nieces and nephews and her very special friends from Daugette Towers.
Funeral will be officiated by Gary Ashley, Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel with burial following in Forrest Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
Pallbearers will be friends and family. Honorary pallbearers will be residents of Daugette Towers and Nurse Wendy from Gentiva Home Health.
Special thanks to the staff of Riverview Regional Medical Center, and her doctors, whom she loved, Dr. Akisanya and Dr. Narayan.
