James Kenneth Wilemon Sr., 78, Snead, died June 4, 2012.
Mr. Wilemon was the eldest Deacon of Warrior River Missionary Baptist Church and the owner and operator of James Small Engine Repair.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Powell Wilemon; grandchild, Shae Griffin; son-in-law, Tommy Wood; grandson-in-law, Robert Self; parents, James Odes and Lillian Holcomb Wilemon; and seven siblings.
Surviving family: children, James K. and Connie Wilemon, Altoona, Joan and Ray Smith, Brooksville, Jimmy and Becky Wilemon, Snead, Mary Frances and Dan Kelley, Oneonta, Travis and Becky Wilemon, Horton, William Doyle and Kay Wilemon, Kilpatrick, Odes and Kathy Wilemon, Boaz, Lynn and Kristy Wilemon, Mulberry, Fla., Denise and Brian Payne, Southside, Josh and Judy Wilemon, Horton; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Steven Noah Wilemon, Hendrix; special nephew, Dwight Wilemon, Citra, Fla.; special niece, Heather Pentecost, Blountsville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Warrior River Missionary Baptist Church with Calvin Butler, Ed Engle and Roy Miller officiating. Interment will be in Samuel's Chapel Cemetery. Snead Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers are Michael Wilemon, Jeffery Wilemon, Kenny Wilemon, Jason Smith, Brandon Wilemon, Stephen Wood and Cody Wilemon.
Visitation will be at Snead Funeral Home from 6 to 8 this evening and Thursday at the church from 1 p.m. until funeral time.
