Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Ralph Curtis Whitt Jr., 74, Ashville, who passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012. The Rev. Chris Cornutt will officiate with burial at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Ashville. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mr. Whitt retired from Dean Sausage Company.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Ann Whitt; daughter, Charlsie (Paul) Cox; son, Curtis (Brenda) Whitt; grandchildren, Jessica Jovzpary, Jonathan (Kristen) Whitt, Brittany (Brandon) Kleinatland, Jason Jovzpary and his baby girl, Jasmine Jovzpary; great-grandchild, Braden Kleinatland; a host of nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be Johnny Thompson, Raymond Thompson, James Thompson, Gary Shirley Sr., Gary Shirley Jr. and Jason Shirley.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center third-floor and the Davita Dialysis and Physicians Choice in Gadsden for all your help and care for Mr. Whitt. Also special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at MICU at UAB.
He will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
